Mika, listen. He is not into you. Actions speak louder than words, he has proven he isn’t into you over and over. I don’t know why he isn’t perfectly honest about that: if he’s trying not to hurt your feelings, if he’s a coward, if he’s a game player, if he’s married … Read more
In the world of dating, the internet has helped improve dating in some ways. After all, many couples found each other using websites like OKCupid or Plenty of Fish. However, in some ways, the internet has only caused complications for couples. One major complication is Facebook. Not only can you find the person you are dating on Facebook, you can stare at photos, look at all that person’s friends, see what the ex wrote on the Facebook profile in 2009, and basically become a total obsessed stalker. Another complication that involves Facebook and dating, is the relationship status update. Narcissists thrive on getting a rise out of people, so don’t give them the satisfaction. Good luck! If your partner were to move out of your city, you would move with them. Again, this is a sign of commitment to the other person. When I meet a guy I am attracted to or I should say, when I meet a guy who likes me, I can automatically (without stressing him) choose to be interested in him if there is an attraction somewhat.
Best of luck! I personally would NEVER use the internet to find a relationship ever again, but I know … Read more
I am in what people would call a mono/poly relationship. I am monogamous and my partner, M, is polyamorous. With respect to others, from what I have seen all the stuff that is out on mono/poly relationships is that they are written by poly people. If you’re already in a deeply committed relationship, then you and your mate know best what that perfect present looks like — whether it’s a special experience, a we” gift, or simply the celebration of another year together as a family.
Congratulations on finding something that worked for you. It sounds like a good book. I had an interesting few months with someone who couldnt see anything from anothers point of view – a truly bizarre experience. I liked the focus of your lens. Great issue presented in the lens in a nice way.

In my case, the realationship lasted almost ten years. I knew all along that was something very wrong with him, but I couldn’t quite put my fingers on it. It was very hard for me because I met him very young and naive and I dedicated myself completely to make him better. It took me a very long time to realize I couldn’t and even than I was unable to leave, regardless of how much I wanted it.

Dating can be hard when you are a geek or nerd, especially when you would rather stay at home and binge watch Dr. Who or your favorite anime, study for that Quantum Mechanics test you have coming up, or any of the other thousands of things that are more fun than going out and drinking at a bar. You could always meet that special someone at a convention where hundreds, sometimes thousands of fans of anime, Star Trek, comic books and other fandoms converge for a weekend full of fun. Whether you are newly married or been married for 50 years, you know that married life isn’t always ‘happily ever after’. Fortunately, the key to a happy marriage is simple. You just have to learn how to practice the the biblical advice to love your spouse as much as you love yourself. Unfortunately, it is not easy to put this advice into practice due to our selfish nature. If we’re honest, we much more often like to err by wading into love too far rather than waiting too long to take the next step. You will be hard-pressed, though, to find a couple regretting the boundaries they made in dating, while you will very easily find those that wish they would have made more. As followers of Christ, we really ought to be the most careful and vigilant.

People in long distance relationships are like the kid in your class who does the extra hard math problems at the end of each section just for fun. Or the person who wakes up at 4AM to run 16 miles every day, up a mountain in the rain. They’re doing what most of us do, except they’re making it a thousand times harder than it needs to be. If not, then find somebody who meets your communication and attention standards.
